Come connect with our collaborators and bid on original artwork by some of the phenomenal artists we have featured on the site at our first Omnibus Party and Silent Auction!

On urbanomnibus.net, we strive to create a shared space for good ideas for the future of cities that are too often discussed only within narrow communities of interest. On February 15, we want to create that same space offline, in person, with drinks.

This is a great opportunity to engage with many of our extraordinary list of contributors, including:

Jake Barton, founder and principal of media design firm Local Projects (Give a Minute)
Andrew Blum, author and contributing editor at Wired and Metropolis magazines (In Praise of Slowness, On Criticism)
Adam Greenfield, author of Everyware and the forthcoming The City Is Here For You To Use, founder and managing director of Urbanscale LLC (Frameworks for Citizen Responsiveness: Towards a Read/Write Urbanism)
Mitch McEwen, Director, SUPERFRONT (SUPERFRONT)
Linda Pollak and Sandro Marpillero, Principals, Marpillero Pollak Architects (Queens Plaza: Infrastructure Reframed, Urban Topographies: Cuts & Patches)
George Trakas, artist and designer of the Newtown Creek Nature Walk (George Trakas at the Water’s Edge: Newtown Creek)
Claire Weisz, founding partner of WXY and designer of the NYC Info Center (Local Tourists)

.
We are thrilled to announce that the following artists have generously donated original artwork for the silent auction. UPDATE: Check out a preview of the artwork that will be presented for auction on Tuesday night in our Omnibus Auction Preview.

Neil Freeman (The Brooklyn Typology Project, Elastic City)
Jeff Goldberg with Yumiko Matsui (Miniature Worlds: Coney Island), photograph donated by Erica Stoller/Esto
