Submissions

Urban Omnibus welcomes unsolicited submissions and content suggestions via email at info@urbanomnibus.net or through the form below. Our criteria for publication are best understood by a close reading of the content previously published on the site. Our weekly features are primarily first-person accounts of projects in or perspectives on the urban built environment of New York City that are interdisciplinary, innovative, and oriented towards the public interest. Posts to our forum include reported pieces that recap or review events, exhibitions, or urban explorations.

Submissions for features are accepted on a rolling basis in the form of an emailed manuscript (under 2,000 words) or of a short pitch paragraph that offers an overview of the topic or project proposed and a provisional schedule of execution. On a more limited basis, we also accept proposals for multi-media pieces. In all cases, producing a feature for Urban Omnibus is a collaborative and iterative process with a hands-on editorial team committed to finding the most revelatory ways to publish stories that define and enrich the culture of citymaking.

If you would like to be put on a list of people interested in reporting pieces for our forum, please fill out the form below, indicating your interest in writing for Urban Omnibus.
