We are celebrating 15 years — and counting — of stories that are deeply researched and deeply felt, that build a historical record of what the city has been.
The 2013 Block Party was a blast! Big thanks to everyone that came out last week to support Urban Omnibus. With the help of a great corps of volunteers and League staff, an incredible display of Omnibus-themed art and experiences donated for auction, music, drinks, and Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, we transformed The Malt House — an empty former brewery in Manhattanville — into a hub of urbanist energy. Our incredible benefit committee, sponsors, auction donors and purchasers helped to make the night a tremendous success.
The crowd assembled shares our passion for exploring new ways of understanding and improving the city. And while fundraisers like this help us keep the lights on, they also help us realize our mission of bringing together, and giving voice to, a diverse group of engaged citizens interested in exploring new ways of understanding and improving the city. Keep an eye out for more events with this goal in mind.
