Anna Clarke grew up outside of Washington, DC. Her poems and essays have appeared in The Portland Review, Paradigm Journal, Connotation Press and The Slim Anthology of Contemporary Poetics. She was also a finalist in the 2010 Flatmancrooked Poetry Contest, judged by Mary Karr. Anna holds an MFA in Nonfiction from Sarah Lawrence College and lives and writes in Brooklyn, New York.
