Gavin Browning

Gavin Browning is Director of Events and Public Programs at Columbia University's Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation (GSAPP). He holds an MS in Urban Planning from Columbia University and a BA in English from The New School University. Previously, he was the director of Studio-X, a downtown Manhattan extension of GSAPP, where he curated events and exhibitions, and edited The Studio-X NY Guide to Liberating New Forms of Conversation (GSAPP Books, 2010). He has contributed to The Architect's Newspaper, the Brooklyn Rail, the Nation, Places: Design Observer, Time Out New York, Urban China, Village Voice, Volume and other publications. He lives in New York City.
